1. Who we are
SpaceFriend, Inc. (“SpaceFriend,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) designs and develops software applications. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our website at spacefriend.ai (the “Site”), use our mobile and web applications (the “Apps”), or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”).
Some Apps may have their own privacy notice that supplements this policy. If there is a conflict, the App-specific notice applies to that App.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details — such as your name, email address and company when you fill out our contact form or email us.
- Account information — if an App offers accounts, the details you provide to create and manage one.
- Content — messages, feedback, support requests and any content you choose to create or upload in an App.
- Purchase information — in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple, Google or another platform provider. We receive confirmation of the transaction but not your full payment card details.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — such as device type, operating system, app version, language, crash logs and diagnostic information.
- Log data — such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies — as described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from others
We may receive limited information from app stores, sign-in providers you choose to use (for example, Sign in with Apple), and service providers that help us operate the Services.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services.
- To respond to your messages, questions and support requests.
- To process transactions and manage subscriptions.
- To send service-related notices, such as updates, security alerts and policy changes.
- With your consent, to send product news or marketing — you can opt out at any time.
- To monitor and fix bugs, understand usage trends and develop new features.
- To protect the safety, security and integrity of our Services and users, and to prevent fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK & Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process personal information only where we have a legal basis to do so, including: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request); legitimate interests (such as securing and improving our Services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights); consent (which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf — for example hosting, cloud storage, email delivery, form handling, analytics and customer support — under contracts that limit their use of the data.
- Platform providers such as Apple and Google, as needed to distribute Apps and process purchases.
- Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of SpaceFriend, our users or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, for as long as your account is active or as needed to respond to your inquiry — unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent;
- Receive your information in a portable format;
- Opt out of marketing communications (use the unsubscribe link in any email); and
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email hello@spacefriend.ai or use our contact form and choose “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
U.S. state privacy rights (including California)
Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws have the rights described above, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and certain profiling. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under these laws, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request.
In the past 12 months we may have collected the categories of information described in Section 2 (identifiers, commercial information, internet or network activity, and inferences limited to product improvement) for the business purposes described in Section 3.
8. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and may process information in the U.S. and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
11. Third-party links and services
The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are material, provide additional notice (such as in-app or by email).
